Found while walking in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico.
In the year and a half that I have had my digital camera I have learned to "never leave home without it." On those occasions when I have been without my camera, I have invariably discovered something unusual, interesting or just strange that would have made a wonderful photo. Now, I always carry my camera--just in case. I am finding that just as every person has a story, so too does every place. Each time I visit my parents I find a new photo opportunity--such as the trailer above--in their small town of 7,000 inhabitants.
My parents have lived in Truth or Consequences --abbreviated by the locals as T. or C.--since 1962 but used to visit it in the early 50's, for a couple of weeks each winter, when it was still known by its original name: Hot Springs, New Mexico. In searching for an article explaining the name change I happened upon a site that tells stories not only about New Mexico but stories of other states as well. Check them out at this link.
